Being humble is definitely a virtue....

Being humble is definitely a virtue.... But not when it comes to sales. You need to let your client know that you are *the best*. That's just the truth, but it can be sooo awkward.

If you think YOU have trouble talking about your own successes, I met a group of people with a Pulitzer Prize and a Grammy winner in the mix, and still, boasting makes them squeamish.

I had the pleasure of working with M Harris & Co. this year- they're one of the fastest growing marketing firms in the midwest. And with all these humble, down to earth folks, it can be easy to assume you're talking to a normal person, not an award-winning and BONKERS talented group of absolute powerhouses.

Here's what we came up with: put bios in the calendar invites so literally no introduction is necessary. Or have teammates introduce one another. Clients can be made aware that there is top talent present, without peacocking.

Here's what they had to say about working with me: "With just one 90-minute virtual seminar, Ashley equipped the team with incredibly clever advice, and, more importantly, boosted the confidence for my team to handle these conversations without me. My only wish is that my team and I had taken her seminar earlier. " Thanks, Melissa Harris. Your team rocks!
