Hey friends, make sure not to post about something time-sensitive too late. It's a really common mistake and just about breaks my heart when I see it.

LinkedIn takes a while to determine if the post is "good" or not. And posts generally have longevity in a way that's unique to this platform. That can be an advantage: once the algorithm determines that you have an engaging post, it'll continue to show it on the feed for days or weeks.

That also means that if you're posting time-sensitive material, it might show up long after your really want it to. Posts that start with "join me today" are doomed. No one's going to see that on time.
