Many people don’t negotiate. They accept the first salary they’re offered. Statistically, you've accepted a job without trying to negotiate. Why? The most common reason is fear.

Maybe you’re worried you’ll ask for too much and lose the opportunity. That is a (remote) possibility, but think about this: do you really want a job that won’t pay you what you’re worth? What would your future look like in that kind of company?
