I've been working on a new talk for a keynote I'll deliver at Nokia tomorrow- on Resiliency. I'm bonkers excited for the opportunity, and it's got me reflecting on the ways 2020 has been an upending of everything I had going on. Roller coaster doesn't describe it.
employers are paying MORE for new employees
I still think that's crucial- and here's MORE evidence that losing an existing employee is an expensive proposition. Even in a job market that's perceived as being terrible, you should still ask for that raise.
I'm going to CRUSH 👊 this week.
MY goals this week are around balance and wellness. Now that we're into a great routine with virtual school, I need to stop accepting the excuse (from myself) that I don't have time or capacity to take care of myself.
Is your competition lying?
I got a call late that same evening from one of the executives saying that there was a small sticking point that kept coming up and they wanted to clarify. In one of my interviews, I talked about being candid with a client that a project we were bidding on wasn't something the firm had experience with but we were prepared for the challenge and would do everything in our power to serve them well.
